Our four-legged furry friends come in all shapes and sizes! Would your pup look smashing in a sweater knit exactly to size just for them? This is the class to make it happen. After taking a few key measurements of your dog, we will complete a template to create a custom fit sweater from the yarn weight of your choice. Tweaks for a great fit and special details will be considered. A past student and her pup were top 10 finalists in the competitive Vogue Knitting Live 2021 Pet Parade modeling their sweater from this class!
Skills Required: Comfort with knitting in the round, basic increases and decreases, casting on and off mid-round, and picking up stitches.

Supplies
Yarn weight of your choice. Very approximate estimates are shown in the table in the pictures because, like we said, dogs come in all shapes and sizes!
Measuring tape or gauge checker to determine gauge.
Needles for circular knitting in the size appropriate for yarn choice – consider your pet’s neck and body circumferences when choosing length for circulars. Magic loop can be a great option, or DPNS for smaller dogs.
Double point needles one size smaller than main needle size.
Crochet hook for picking up stitches approximately one or two sizes smaller than main knitting needle.
Three locking stitch markers.
Darning needle to weave in ends
Homework
1. Swatch stockinette stitch in the round – then, wash and block swatch.
2. Complete measurement template for your dog. Template will be provided at registration. If you’d like help taking measurements, you can make Jacquie’s day and swing by the shop with your pup on a day prior to class (check with the shop to see when Jacquie will be there).

We ask that class fees be paid in advance (thank you!). A full refund will be granted with a 72-hour cancellation notice. Refunds or store credit will be issued if your class is cancelled due to low enrollment (which we hope never happens!).
Materials are not included in classes, but we do offer 10% off.
